History of the Edna Theatre

The Edna Theatre opened to much fanfare in 1950, the flagship facility of the Long theater chain of Bay City. With classic architecture, impressive neon-laced marquee, thousand-seat capacity, and air-conditioned comfort, the building was hailed as one of the most significant theater installations on the greater Texas Coast. A more complete description of the theater and its history may be found here.
